Built by an NHS doctor who made the move

Your medical career in Australia starts here

Jobs, visas, registration and relocation — everything UK healthcare professionals need to move to Australia, built by a doctor who made the move the hard way.

The path, in four steps

Moving countries as a clinician is a paperwork marathon. Here's the whole route, in order.

1

Check your registration pathway

Most UK-trained doctors qualify for the Competent Authority Pathway — no Australian Medical Council (AMC) exams. UK GPs and some consultants can use the fast-track Expedited Specialist Pathway.

2

Find and land a job

We map every official state health recruitment campaign and portal, with dates and direct apply links — the same sources hospitals actually hire through.

3

Sort your visa

Your employer sponsors you (usually the Skills in Demand 482 visa), with a clear route to permanent residency after two years. We break down every option.

4

Move and settle in

Short-term housing, rental applications without an Australian credit history, banking, Medicare and more — the practical stuff nobody warns you about.

Why OzMedBridge?

I'm a UK doctor. When I planned my own move to Australia, the information was scattered across a dozen government sites, recruiter blogs and forum threads — half of it outdated, and most of it written to sell you something.

OzMedBridge puts the whole journey in one place: the official job routes, the real registration requirements, the visa options in plain English, and the practical relocation steps. Free for clinicians — always.

For hospitals & practices

Struggling to fill posts? We connect you with UK-trained doctors, nurses and allied health professionals who are registration-ready and actively relocating.
